S. Gurmeet Singh Khuddian Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Punjab; Sh. K.A.P. Sinha, IAS, Chief Secretary Punjab, Sh. Manish Sisodia, Former Deputy Chief Minister, Delhi; Sh. Mohammad Tayaab, IAS Administrative Secretary Horticulture, Punjab; Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, PAU Vice-Chancellor and other officers of the Government of Punjab as well as the officers of the P.AU visited Punjab Horticultural Postharvest Technology Centre on 18^th May, 2025. Dr. B.V.C. Mahajan, Director PHPTC conducted the visit of the dignitaries and explained the various research and development activities going on in the Centre. All dignitaries took a round of different laboratories of PHPTC and interacted with the scientists regarding postharvest management of horticultural produce, testing of food commodities in NABL accreditated quality control laboratory. Dr Mahajan explained different postharvest technologies such as packaging, storage, processing and ripening of fruits and vegetables. Dr Ritu Tandon elaborated about the importance and the responsibility of NABL accreditated quality control laboratory in testing of food commodities. All dignitaries were impressed with the processed products and laboratory infrastructure and facilities available in the PHPTC for the benefit of farmers and entrepreneurs.
