Dr BVC Mahajan, Director PHPTC was invited by Citrus Estate Bhunga Hoshiarpur on 18^th of October, 2023 to deliver a lecture on “Techniques to increase the shelf life of fruits and vegetables”. Dr Mahajan explained different methods for extending the shelf life and minimizing the postharvest losses of fruits and vegetables. He further advised the farmers to use cold storage technology for maintaining the best quality of produce. During glut like situation the produce should not be marketed at throw away prices, rather such produce should be hold in cold stores and marketed later on, whenever there is better price and demand in the market.
